I had a mental patient (not a psychotic one... just more of a "wasn't raised right"/aka personality disorder one ask me about jackalopes...
I do these nature education groups for the patients and she asked me afterwards and wanted to know all the whys, ands, ifs, or buts about it....

#1 even has research to prove deer are naturally nocturnal - diurnal, actually.
True enough.


Hunting doesn't make them that way.
Butsloppy huntingwill encourage the behaviour and push them moreso in the direction of being primarily nocturnal -- at least until deer reach the age of 3 1/2 or so; then they tend to be nocturnal regardless of hunting pressure.
