hardest part?

im going to be new to bowhunting this year. im going to start out just chasing deer. maybbbbe a fall turkey if one gives me a good shot by chance. but i was wondering, maybe you guys would start helping me in my bowhunting "career? lol" and tell me some things you think is the hardest part of bowhunting the elusive whitetaildeer. im not going to lie. the main reason i want to bowhunt is to start getting some racks on the wall. rifle season around here is TOUGH hunting. ive only got 2 6pts to my name and 8 does. im not opposed to taking a doe, and will gladly take does just to get the feel of bowhunting and get some of that delicious meat for the freezer. rifle hunting kinda lost its spark for me as well. last year i headshot a doe at 50yds through the woods without hesitation or thinking about it. it was exciting, but not like it used to be. sure a buck would got me real fired up, but it was my 10th deer, my 8th doe. nothing to throw a party over. got the blood pumping but im looking to keep my excitment going. another reason for me to start bowhunting. i love the ups and downs of hunting. frustrations, excitments, dissappointments successes etc. but i thought maybe you guys could start helping me before i start by telling me some of the things you guys think are the most challenging parts of bowhunting.
for the record, i know its a wholllllle new ballgame and i dont expect to bag a wallhanger any time soon. ill be trying, but if i dont succeed i know itll take some time. itll be hard because of all the bucks i seen in the past in bow season while i was small game or fall turkey hunting all in bow range. i like working hard for success. i like to go the extra mile even when it means walking long and far sitting in nasty weather early in the morning days on end for nothing to show for a while. to me that makes success so much sweeter. so what do you guys think are the hard parts of bowhunting?? 2 come to mind. getting within bowrange of the game, and making a clean killing shot.

Not just getting in range, but getting in range and not getting busted by scent ormovement and then getting the opportunity to make an unobstructed shot, and then making that shot count. And getting in range entails a lot of work, scouting, stand placement, hunting the wind, and maybe a bit of good luck!

I think one of the hardest things in bowhunting comes after the shot.Too many people put a good hit on a deer and have no(or very poor)tracking skills and wind up not finding their animal. So good shot selection plays a role in this.If you take high percentage shots that ensures a double-lung hit--they won't go very far.

i know how hard rifle season is around her in SW pa. by the time it rolls around all the big boys r hidin or just pushed out of the area...less and less hunters every year around here....i also am taking bow hunting VERy seriously this year and hope to get me a nice buck..i have taken 7 deer already an im 16. rifle season is easy if u see the deer...cause if i see the deer he is in the freezer, not a doubt in my mind whether im gonna hit him or not....time to get em with the arrow...
