No apologies required, but a little respect and discretion shows maturity and a willingness to be an ambassador for our long standing privilege. Dont ever forget that your hunting is a privilege, please dont make the mistake of treating it as a right.

What I DON'T see the need of.....is the part where gut-shot the yearling doe.......and sat in your stand and watched as she spit blood and regurgitated for 3 hours before you climbed down to finish her off with a good old fashioned throat slittin.

now that is just terrible....killing is one thing....torture is another....

Yeah, but my point was that a hunting story doesn't HAVE to revolve around the actual kill. Nor do the photos have to revolve around the gruesome. We all know how much blood CAN be involved in a kill. It doesn't mean we have to show it all. I think.....in the right company.....the impact locations/entry-exit wounds/etc... are not only "OK"....they can be educational.....AND a LOT of us here like to see 'em.

I don't apologize for hunting. I also don't bring the subject up around people that might have opposing views.....OR.......OR if I think they might use what I say/my photos/etc... to give to others....to be used against me OR you. (and I'll debate/demand yours and my right to hunt 'til I die)

I dislike the term "apologize for"......I think it's "tact" (as someone else mentioned, earlier).

Oh yeah.....there's also a term called "wanton waste". Look it up. I'm no fan of that, either.....but that's just me.......

Bob.....OF COURSE you can.

Iwanna see somebody standing in the Sunday School receiving line wearing an intestine turbin.....and a "TEAM TINKS" Under Armour cold gear suit. Caption reads....."Hell yeah I killed it this morning! Shot her baby, too. Wanna fight about it?"

Be Proud!!!!

Time and place...
The first pic was meant as a joke, and I got a kick out of it. The next one I've seen on another post and can tell NY is awful proud of that shot (as he should be) and wants to show it off, so that's ok. Critter's pic was just put on here to be offensive, although it doesn't really bother most of us or we wouldn't be at this site. Thing is, if you want to promote your cause or make a point to someone, it's nearly impossible if you start out by offending them.
Another point, as a kid, mama taught me not to keep doing something when around people who didn't like it.She was refering generallyto pickin' -n- pokin', but the same idea applies to us as adults. I wouldn't show a dead animal pic to someone I know won't like it, and I don't know who might see it here- so without good reason AND cleaning it up as much as possible you won't see me posting any kill pics.

I think this comes down to understanding that life is more than just about what you think. The public opinion matters and will affect your life whether you like it or not. BTW - This was a tough lesson for me to learn and it took several years for this to completely sink in.

I just took care of a garden thief myself the other day.

Keep up the good work and I wasn't offended by any means.:)
