Default deer sighting frequency while hunting...

I was talking to my g/f about hunting and she said "hunting turkeys was hard, are deer that hard?" (as she has never been deer hunting YET)and i explained that deer are somewhat "easier" than turkeys to hunt, simply b/c of turkeys high senses, which are somewhat more acute than deer i have learned. my question is: how many of you fellas can kill a deer (doe or really anything) "whenever" you want. By "whenever", i dont mean literally any time, but i mean do you guys usually see atleastone shootabledoe or young buckevery daywhen you go hunting. I guess if its legal to bait then its much easier to see deer, especailly if you can get a pattern going for the deer a month or so before the season, so that they come like clockwork every day. do you guys think there are more days when you see deer then days when you dont see anything whatsoever. thanks

Very rarely is there a hunt I couldn't get a kill. I love residential hunting!

I've been hunting for 8 years and 4 of those years I didn't tag anything. I shoot anything so it wasn't an issue of being picky. I'm sure you will hear all kinds of responses and I bet the main variable is private land and the size of that land.

all depends..its all about being in the right spot at the right time. being i am a rifle hunter my deer sightings revolve around when someone pushed them out 99% of the time. that kinda makes it hard to get consistant sightings when the deer are running for their lives from one thicket to the next. there were days 20-30deer seen and could been killed by me were not unheard of. but then again the days and days of seening NOTHING in terms of deer are also not unheard of. but now that im getting into bow hunting i think my sighting SHOULD go up. less disturbed deer. i dont care who you are unless your on TRUELY unhunted land around my area your not going to catch a deer feeding or anything like that. they get pressured so hard its not funny. and if my group isnt driving them there is someone else that has or has been in the area. bow hunting though ill have the woods to myself for the most part. a few small game hunters and a few fellow bow hunters, but way less pressure then rifle season. and ill have a 2 week span when noone BUT bowhunters will be out. once the small game and fall turkey action starts ill hunt areas that i know they dont. and i am going to try to take my rifle hunting tactics to the bow stand and hunt the funnels, bottle necks and thicket edges etc that im used to hunting when the pressure is on. i think the big bucks will still stay in their saftey routes.

I normally hunt with guns So I agree with Mauser06 in that where I hunt, The only deer you see are running. This will be my first year bowhunting and I finally have land all to myself so I think that should change...hopefully.

I can't go out and kill deer any time that's for sure. However I have killed at least one deer
with a bow the last five years or so.I just bowhunt so I would have taken more deer with
a gun just based on sightings. This is all on private land.

another major factor is the deer population and deer density in the area. here in PA it USED to be very high almost everywhere all across the state. but has since dropped some. but areas/states with lower populations and densitys you will not have such a high chance of seeing deer daily or seeing many deer daily. alot of factors go into seeing deer consistantly.

Depends on where you are hunting. I hunted nearly 3 weeks straight without a shot opertunity before whacking a nice 10 point on Public land in Wisconsin last season, but when I hunted private land with permission in Iowa, I passed shots on several deer every sit. Opening day, I had over 20 deer go past within range. You are going to get a lot of differing answers depending on where exactly each hunter is hunting.
