Dutch just dont give up I found one the other day without a drop of blood I knew it was a good shot and I did have help it also was raining. We finally did find it by following deer trails I must admit we had a lot of luck as it was in a place we hadnt figured on and once hit you never know where it will go.

I agree with royak, it's really hard to say what happens. I have had good shots not bleed much, and bad ones bleed so bad you wonder how the deer made it that far! Really "wierd" things. Just about every deer I have tracked or helped tracked where someone said "I hit right in the ribs" has ended up being less than perfect. Really well hit deer( double lung or hear shot) won't go over 100 yards, they can't. I would search every deer deer trail in the area, every thicket, and in and around the nearest creek or water source. You should also do circles around the last place you saw the deer, making them bigger and bigger until you find your deer, or blood. This is one time a few good friends that are willing to work would be a big help.
