im getting ready to order my first bow by the end of the month as most of you know. now i need to start thinking of target options. id like to stay kinda cheap this first year. next year ill get a 3d deer and a good target. this year ill only have a solid month of every day practice, then weekends when im home from college. my buddy has a 3d he said i can go out and shoot with him already. so i can getthe 3d practice this year without buying a target. i just need something to chuck arrows into and practice on this season. anyone have any recomendations?? soon as the weather is nice and im off work im going to start setting up my backstop and trimming the over grown tree its going to go under. that way when the bow is here i can run to the back yard like a little kid and start chuckin arrows lol. any target recommendations though?? thanx

Go to wal mart and check out their 3 d targets. I believe you can get a Blue ridge for about 50 or 60 bucks... They are good 3d targets and cheap...

Purchase a bag target. They're inexpensive and last a long time.

I pick them up at one of our local sporting goods stores for $25.00. All they are is a burlap bag filled with shrink wrap.

When I worked for an RV/Boat Dealer we would use shrink wrap to winterize our boats and in the spring we would throw the stuff away buy the tons. It's easy to replace.

I buy my bags at wally world, they 5 targets on one side and deer vitals on the other. $19.95

Ditto with what he said. Don't spend the $50 or $60 for a cheap deer target that will take a truck and log chain to pull the arrows out of.

Iv'e shot mine several hundred times with broadheads and thousands of times with fp and still holds up great.
