Your First?

What was the first thing you ever harvested and with what weapon?
For me it was a bird[ not going to say what kindon here] with a homemade sling shot and a catseye marble.

first big game animal was a 3 point, bow, 12 years old

My first legal game animal was at age 13 and it was a Gray Squirrel taken with a nice old Ithaca 12ga SxS. I shot 5 squirrels that day and I can remember all 5 shots and the smell of the gunpowder on that calm morning like it was last week.

What cracks me up is we will probably see alot of .410's. This was my 1st gun in fact. TERRIBLE choice for a young hunter as that hammer could easily slip from ones young thumb when letting the hammer back down after deciding not to shoot. Seems like me and my buddies were all handed .410 single shots. Man I killed a lot of stuff with mine.

Squirrel, age 12 w/ a Marlin bolt action .22 rifle. I got that rifle for Christmas that year, and that afternoon my Dad and I went to the woods and I popped him. Sure was exciting.
