I'm usually too busy saying to myself "Aim through the shot." over and over again until the arrow comes out the other side of the animal to say anything out loud. I've had too many big bucks just bolt at any sound to risk it. If they're moving slow and steady I just shoot them on the move. If they're chasing, bolting and running around unpredictably I don't even draw.

I found out last year that accidently scraping your arrowthat is on your quiver while aiming at the deer works pretty good. LOL The plan was to meh or whistle but didn't need to after that.;)

I just let out a good fart and they seem to stop pretty well to that:DNo actually the usual maaahh seems to work well for me.

I just clear my throat loud enough to get them to stop and look , works every time.
