Gerber Carnivore Blood Light
Any one see this NEW product yet?
Thoughts?
I understand the blue LED makes blood show up better, but is there reallyanything to the patent-pending technology?
Just wondering if it is worth $50 for a gift.
My idea of a gift in this case is something that is cool to have, but you wouldn't necessarily spend your own money on it.

Just a guess, but it is probably based on forensic blood lights. I know those things will make blood glow like crazy...but I think it requires some sort of spray to react with the blood.

RE: Gerber Carnivore Blood Light
I don't have one, but I've saw a display. It has both red and blue LEDs, the combination is supposed to make the blood stand out. (blue makes it pop but as a black, red to thenhighlight it ????)
I guess the pricipal it supposed to be like "CSI" luminal but without the spray. (of course, if it worked that well, you'd see CSIs using it)
Who knows, maybe it would help. I can't see a company like GERBER selling a product with no testing or performance. Though that doesn't mean it works great, just that it works (to a point, in the right conditions, etc, etc)
