Pet Peeve

Im sorry but I just have to vent. I watch nemerous hunting shows. But one got me this evening was a deer hunting episode where a guy shoots a nice buck. After the shot the guy is only interested about his arrow being broken. Who cares, thats what it is used for. The broken arrow would have been the least of my worries. To me if I break an arrow after shooting any deer, I dont care. It can be replaced. I guess sometimes the TV shows show way more than they need too.

That is somewhat ridiculous. I guess they can't afford an arrow with all that money they are making.

I had an arrow last season that would have made me mad if I had broken it. I killed 2 deer and 1 turkey with the same arrow/BH combo. Its retired now.;)

Chances are good that he didn't even buy that arrow. It was probably given to him as part of a sponsorship deal. What a misplaced sense of priorities.

Cenario,"O dang, o just lot my bullet, stupid deer just took my .50 cent bullet". People don't realise arrows as numerous shot projectiles during practice season. But, when shot at an animal, they may be lost. Who cares, as long as the shot was good and the animal was not injured to where it cant be found, the arrow is the least of my worries.

That's ridiculous. I'd be happy to break an arrow if it meant taking a nice buck.

A couple days ago I lost one practicing when I misjudged distance on my 3d target and sent one over the back and into a chin high weed field. THAT made me mad [:@].

Let me know who it was and I'll send him an arrow and tell him to grow up and quit crying like a little girl.. I will do it too. Just for grins. :D:D:D

WOW thats not right. After I shoot a deer I feel that arrow has done its job and I retire it and put it on the wall with the other great arrows that have done there job. I guess he would really wine if he saw my stack of retired arrows. And if I miss with an arrow I definetly get rid of that jinks. I just hope my jinks pile never out numbers my wall pile. Good Luck with all you arrows may they all be 12 rings!!!! Mike

On the other hand, it could have just been a deflection of his true feelings under the excitement/adreneline rush/stress of being filmed. The broken arrow could have had nothing to do with anything. - Just another POV.

thats a shame you get paid to hunt on tv and shooting a buck doesn't excite you there is something wrong. A broken arrow should be the last thing to worry about

I completely agree an arrow is the least of you worries, what about the excitement and feeling when you see that huge buck that you have been persuing all year long. and after the shot and walking up on the deer that "you have killed" and having all your hard work finally pay off.
