RE: Pet Peeve
Maybe I'm different, but even if a deer is what causes the break, I still get a little upset if I have a broken arrow.
I'm 18 and on a budget, everything I purchase I buy myself. When I have to put out extra money on something I shouldn't need to, it bugs me. I shoot an animal with the arrow and retire the broadhead, not the arrow. |
RE: Pet Peeve
I think wash is right im on a budget but where i differ is if i miss and lose the arrow/ break then im pissed but if i was able to put in a well placed shot and it broke I see as just part of the game they call BOWHUNTING

RE: Pet Peeve
I never have or ever will be upset breaking an arrow on any animal.
I always felt kind of lucky if I get my arrow back in peace.. |
RE: Pet Peeve
Maybe I should put it a different way.
I don't get mad when i break an arrow in an animal, it's not like I throw a fit about it. I just dislike having to fork out money for more arrows every season. Not that I'm not happy doing it, I love the sport and buying arrows is a part of it. It's just that being on a budget makes it difficult. |
RE: Pet Peeve
I see i just read your post wrong sorry about that wash

RE: Pet Peeve
I'd have to see the context to judge....
For instance, I just recently had my first traditional kill, a hog.... I made a nice shot, but the hog still broke one of my arrows.... One of the first things I said to my hunting partner was "dang, that sucker broke my arrow".... That doesn't mean I wasn't excited, I most certaintly was and I would have sacrificed every arrow in my quiver for that hog....It's like Bobco pointed out, it may have just been something that was said with no real meaning or insuation... |
