during practice i usually go out to around 45-50 at the farthest but i would never take a shot on an animal at that rangemy limit for shooting at game is around 25-30 just practicing at those longer distances makes the 20yd shots seem like a slam dunk

So far for me, uumm about 25 yards. I wont be taking shots much farther than 25-30 yards (on an animal). I have not really had the opportunity to shoot farther than that on a regular basis.

I practice seriously out to 50 yards, but early in the year, I'll move out to 60 and shoot my 3d target. I would never take a shot that long and not over 40 under most circumstances, but practicing at that distance seems to make the shorter shots easier, if that makes sense. A 20 yard shot becomes a chip shot. Gotta go practice.

I start at twenty, go to thirty, then to thirty five and sometimes forty. Then back to twenty just to get my confidence back up. Hunting shots are limited to twenty to twenty five yds. Preferably closer...

i was also wondering about how many times a week does everyone practice... ive never really been in the field except for once, so im not sure how often i should be practicing to prepare for a whole season which i will be taking advantage of finally.
