Which to hunt?
So I was debating when to do it, but I've decided to upgrade my bow next year, and because of this I want to plan a hunt for 2008.
I can't decide between a hunt for blacktail in Alaska or a hunt for Antelope in Wyoming. Africa is a dream, but one that I won't attain for many years.
Both would be as DIY as I can get away with to save money, but I know these are the two I would like to do the most at the moment.
Of the two, which would you choose and why?
I like the idea of a blacktail hunt in Alaska for how challenging it would be and I like the Antelope hunt in Wyoming just because I'd love to take a speed goat with my bow.

I say antelope for myself. I too have been wanting to get a goat with my bow. If I am going all the way to Alaska it would be a different species than a blacktail. They are cool I guess but I want an Alaskan Moose and a Brown bear 1st.

I voted Blacktail because, when you hunt antelope with a bow you normaly do it over a water hole. In my opinion it sounds sorta lamb. But then again all we do when deer hunting is sit in a treestand[8D]

I voted antelope simply because that's what i would do given my own level of hunting prowess.
From what I know of blacktail hunting, it really is a challenge even for those who know them and something I would believe I would need to put in a lot more time in (to be successful) than I really have.
Having been to Alaska, although I haven't seen Wyoming, I would agree that Alaska is probably much more beautiful, since I think Alaska is probably the most beautiful place on earth.
