Default SlickTrick Broadhead users out there?

Any of you use Slick Trick broadheads - AND - notice anything - er.. BAD about them???

I have a nasty story to post but am waiting for the pictures to develop so I can show my proof.

Anyone given any thought to the length of the tip vs. the angle of the blade & possible deflections on 1/4ing shots??

I haven't shot anything myself, but on another board I visit several people have killed deer with them close to 7 I think( total deer) all have been positive if I remember correctly.

There's a few hits on the broadhead success board - and I'm one of them - but I'm looking for a replacement.

The pictures & story should provide an interesting thread.

Thanks

I use the heads and haven't had any problems with them. In fact the amount of cutting area I get with them saved me from a marignal shot. I'm interested in seeing/hearing about your experience. Go ahead and e-mail me the pictures with your story if you can't get them posted here.

I was wondering the same thing. I took a buck with them on Saturday, and was less than impressed. I shot the buck twice, and both broadheads broke off off the Beman ICS shafts, after being driven down into the insert.

I cannot blame the broadhead just yet, since I shot him both times through fairly heavy bone. The first hit was a spine shot, and the finisher took him through the shoulders. I'm not sure I should expect the head to hold up after those kind of hits.

Please, let us know your story. I'm curious.

I took 2 deer this season with them , good results . First was a buck 170 lbs live weight hit high right dead square in the spine went down like it was hit by a canon . bent one blade slightly, it will need new blade, feral came through fine . It almost went completely though the spine with 1/2 sticking out the other side this is with a 65 lb q2 at 25 yards and a 420 grain arrow .Next was a doe around 80 lbs hit midpoint behind the shoulder came out the bottom of the chest and cut the opposite leg and 4 " into the ground [ sharp angle looking down from my stand ] it bent a blade also this was at 35 yards with a 60 lb bk2 and the same 420 grain arrow . She went down with in 30 yards . The entrance hole on that one was nasty .Over all they worked great they are kind of pricey but they fly good and work well , even on marginal hits , lots of cut .

If information provided by the members of this board have helped you please let us know .

Took a nub last night with a ST 100.

Completely blew through the animal. Cleanly sliced a rib in half. Head looks ok - looks good enough to re-use with a l ittle sharpening (head buried in dirt after pass through).

Fly very true. So far happy.

Huntmup - any pics yet?
