Thinking about putting the trykon up for adoption

I have been giving this alot of thought and I think I am going to trade in my trykon xl for something else. I just haven't 'bonded' with the bow like I thought I would have by now. I feel like I could shoot my older bow better. I went back to the shop tonight to get the peep re-served. I asked them if I could trade. He said he would allow me $630.00 for my bare bow for any bow in the shop. Now, I will be losing a $100 but I think that is fair considering I got this thing at the end of March/early April.

I was looking at the bowtech, maybe the tribute or even allegiance. He also had a PSE Mach X that was super quiet and really fast. It is $750 though.

Ill be going back tomorrow more than likely to make the trade.

Personally I think that I'd be looking at the Tribute. We've sold several and they are just awesome. I just got the Equalizer this past spring after6 years with my Hoyt Striker 2. Was a hard decision but everything about it was what I was looking for.

My dad feels the same way about his Trykon XL. He likes how it shoots but he thinks it's just too loud. Took it back to the shop and they worked on it but he still thinks its a little loud.

Wow, that is an amazing deal. You got to shoot the bow for two and a half months, yet only lose $100. I am extremely suprised.

As for the new bow- Make sure you try the line of BowTechs.

As you know I chose the Allegiance first over the Trykon, Tribute and Switchback.

Surprised I havent gotten flamed yet. Ok, I gonna reply in the Rob/Bowyer format.;)

Iroquois: I have my eye on the tribute.

gzg: My beef w/ the trykon wasn't b/c it was too loud but I have heard quieter.

Cougars: So do you not like the paint on the bowtechs?

Zak: I know...he did that b/c I bought it from him to begin with.

Rob: You're the first one I thought of. I went back last night and found your reviews of the "big 3" and discovered that Bowtech seemed to rank the highest.

I bought the Trykon thinking I would get used to the draw cycle. I feel that it could cause me to spook a deer under the right circumstances. I just like it to be smoother. Thats all.[&o]

Yeah, I realize that was the reason, but still, that is a killer deal. That is definatelly a pro shop to stay with.

There's a lot of that going around.[&:] Me, I'd buy a Darton Maverick. The dealer is giving you a great deal I think.

I had the same thing happen to me with the Bowtech Liberty. I sold it to a buddy for $450 and went back to my old bow a Champion Stinger. When I first shot the Liberty it felt nice. But for some reason thatI can't explain I never had a feel for the Liberty. That's Bowhunting!
