RE: Sponsors backing out of WHA

I understand what you are saying bigbulls, and I agree with a lot of your post but there is one thing I'd like to add. Remember that when you are put under sedation, you and the levels of sedation are being carefully monitered by trained individuals who specialize in what they are doing.

Anyone like to add trapping into the mix, where an animal may suffer for hours before being killed? I have nothing against trapping, and I'd love to do it. Only problem is that law requires the traps to be checked every 24 hours, and that is something that is not possible for me to do.

I really have no opinion on this topic either way. And I don't think I'd boycott any company for sponsoring. Not that I use them anyway.

I am not in favor of this kid of hunting but.................

How many of you watch ESPN, use Ranger, Triton, etc... boats, use Mann fishing lures, Strike king spinner baits, use Lowrance fish finders,etc... etc... These are all sponcers of Bassmasters fishing tournaments. All of the fish caught under go the same stresses that these deer would under go. Some of these fish die as a result of these fishing tournaments just like the deer would.

How about the catch and release bill fish tournaments. How any of you use Costa DelMar sunglasses, use Cape horn boats, Mercury engines, etc... etc... these fish get to be cought and pulled up along side a large boat and get a tag stuck in their backs.

All of these fish under go many more stresses being hooked, fought with the rod and reel, landed, live welled, drove around all day, placed in baskets, removed from the water and weighed, held up by their lips for photo ops, placed in a holding tank, and finallyreleased far away from where they were caughtthan these deer would by being tranquilized.

This is no better or worse than any of these fishing tournaments, it just hasn't been done before.
I don't agree that its the same at all.

At least Real Fisherman do practice catch & release sometimes (maybe all the time) in the real world. Not like these BOZOs' idea.
Why is it that the fishermen are "REAL FISHERMEN" when they practice catch and release but these hunters would be just a bunch of "BOZOS"? I guess I am not a real fishermen cause if I am going to go fishing I am coming home with supper and more to go in my freezer for supper another day. They are both a catch and release style of "hunting". Yes fishing is hunting, you are just doing it in the water.

The stresses of being caught and released are not the same as being drugged with a tranquilizer.
All I know is that I have been drugged for surgery on two occasions and I would have to say that being hooked in the mouth and pulled from my "home", stuck in a small cage, drove around all day, pulled from the cage by my mouth, stuck in a basket, weighed, held up by my mouth again for pictures, put back inthe basket, placed in a holding tank, and finally released miles from where I was initially would be ever so slightly more stressful than being tranquilized. ;)
Why don't you call Mr. Farbman and tell him you're all for it and that you see nothing wrong with his idea?

I didn't say I was in favor of this what so ever. In fact if you read you will see whereI said I was not in favor of this type of "hunting"

I am meerly pointing out to some of you that you may need to look in the mirror before criticizing these people just because they want to "catch and release" deer whenvery similar practices arewidely accepted and favorablein the fishing community.

If I was a competitor of G5 I would ride this for all it's worth (wouldn't really but the world as a whole would). I've seen posts before that ask "what makes you go Hmmmm? These kind of things always do. So tranquilizing animal is a terrible thing. I would have though a shaft through the vitals would be worse, but hey I'm just a guy who loves to hunt and most of the hunting world could care less whatI do so I reciprocate. Hunting is a personal thing and I'm satisfied that my wife and family appreciate what I do for them. It's all I need. What I shoot, or how I shoot it (legally) is no ones business and I leave others to theirs.

People ask "What do you think of UncleTed?" I don't thinkUncleTed has ever wasted a thought on me why should I waste one on him. To much to do and to little time to do it to waste it on what the big shots are doing. I'm a dumpster diver, they are never there.

Using a tranqualizer is beside the point. The whole point is trying to have a hunting sports league. I wouldn't give a damn if they used broadheads and bullets, I'd still feel the same way.....it would do nothing but be bad bad bad for hunting.

G5 and Eastman aren't on my list of products I'd use anyway!
