Default Treestand set-up

Just curious, at what time of year do you begin actually putting up your treestands. Not scouting or picking sights, when you actually hang your stand.

For the september season I hang stands starting the first part of August.

For the November/December season I start hanging them in October.

I prefer my climber. I find it a lot more comfortable then other choices.

Here in Michigan, we can't put our stands up until Sept. 1st.

I actually leave mine up all year. I just go check them and do any tweaking in August or early September.

RDHunter, Does that count for private land too?

Depends. I start by hanging some stands in areas I know I will be hunting (for-sure). Other times I'll just trim stands out that I plan on using my climber with. Then, sometimes I walk into the woods, hang, trim, and hunt. That's the method that has produced nearly every book buck I've shot! First-time-in-is-king!
