Default RE: Question on securing aging permanent treestand

You can be quite still, paralized, in a wheelchair. Personaly I build most of my own stands, but I never hunt in a stand someone else has built (not talking about boughten stands) and I would never hunt in one of my wooden ones that is over 3 years old. I inspect them regularly and test them by hanging them 6 inches off the ground and jumping up and down on the very edges. Thats 250 lbs and if they give a hair they are scrap. But 9 year old stands? seriously dont do it for the sake of those who care about you.
