RE: Dead On Rangefinder
Was thinking of giving it a try to see.

RE: Dead On Rangefinder
Sounds like a good idea but you could probably make one on your own.
|
RE: Dead On Rangefinder
People have used objects on their bows to do this for some time. In some aspects of archery it's illeagal and guys have found cleaver ways to bend the rules. The idea is a good one and worth using.:D

RE: Dead On Rangefinder
You could make your own indeed, but you'd have to know the measurements on the whitetail-specific model, or at least, for the majority of us, I would assume;)
|
RE: Dead On Rangefinder
the measurement for white tail is 18 " , I'm quite sure thats what it said if memory serves me correctly
|
RE: Dead On Rangefinder
In theory it sound like a good deal, but for me I'm a little slow:DI like my single pin Impact archery cosmic. My bow shoots plenty fast enough to make a lethal hit on a whitetail from 15 to 25 yard's holding dead on.Out to 30-35 I hold just on the top of the back inline (verticaly)with the front shoulder.Works for me.Also I think the brain get's to know after a while the size of deer @ certain yards.

RE: Dead On Rangefinder
I hope to make my own. I've got a few garbagearrows that can't be shot any more. Now for the marks on the sight ring; I'm thinking of a reflective tape.
The second page also gives the Elk as 28" Since we mostly hunt Mule Deer here, I think I will go with 20: |
RE: Dead On Rangefinder
When you say 18" or 20", you mean from the top of the back of the deer/elk/whatever to the belly?
|
RE: Dead On Rangefinder
Back to the belly area.
I'll use 20" for our Mule Deer and 28" for elk. I have it worked out now excvept for one tiny detail. I will probably be setting the lines while shooting. Probably alone . . . soooo, how do I mark where the tape goes?? [:@] |
