my hunting buddy got this yesterday at 3pm, watched him for 20 minutes scraping the ground, rubbing trees, he actually still has bark on his rack!! gut shot him, hit a sapling,,, went down and threw the leg,,, waited till this morning and it took 4 hours but he found it!! real big body deer w/ a big rutty neck!! the good part is this is not the 2 big ones ive seen already!! yeha!!

It's more likely pre-rut activity you're seeing. The rut will probably not be in full swing for another 7 to 10 days.

Hard to tell with the camera stuck between the horns... but it's sure unique. It doesn't look like a very wide spread but it does have some character. I'd whack him in a heart beat.
