There was a really good article in North American Whitetail (I think that's the correct pub.) probably about 5 years ago discussing cross breeding of whitetails and mulies. There are some certain circumstances that need to be true in order for them to breed. I think I still have that article....I see if I can dig it out of my archive and gets some facts posted.

I've also heard that unlike most hybrids which have good vigor and tend to be hardier animals, whitetail/muley hybrids aren't a better animal. The fawns tend to be more susceptible to predators and disease.
