Fixed for me because pendelums suck.

Fixed Pin. Never tried a pend.

I'd rather use a pin instead of a pen. L O L

I'm shooting a PSE Bruin that gets a rated 295fps, but since i'm only pulling back 50lbs with a draw length of 27in i can't imagine that i'm shooting faster then 245fps. With a slower bow like this it is harder to be accurate because the arrow drops much faster and that means i have to be muchmore precise on my range estimation. This is why i thought that a pendulum sight would probably work better for me then a fixed pin sight.

Fixed pin vertical sight, 3 pins at 20-30-40 works good.

Wow, I have to be a minority here... I'm shooting a new Vital Bow Gear Camelback pendulum sight.

It's a great sight for the money and has a lock-down feature in the top/back of the sight. I've sighted it in for 20 yards on flat level ground and am good to go. I also shot it from up on my back porch roof, shooting downwards at 5 yards, and it was dead on into the Block 4x4 target. With my bow shooting roughly 267 fps, I am probably good to about 30 yards at best with it. But the best thing is there is no guess work involved. 17 yards, 22 yards, 9 1/2 yards, etc... it doesn't matter. You're dead on no matter what. [8D]

For the longest time I used a pendulum, I liked the ability to aim and hit exactly whereI wanted. Not aim a little low close, little high far. BUT I got used to shooting fixed pins again last summer and when the time came I kept them on for the season. 3 perfect shots later, I think I'll stick with my fixed pins for a while. It's really just a matter of preference, and what you are used to.
