Which do you prefer?

Do you prefer a double lung shot or a heart shot?
Why?
Personally I'll take a double lung shot any day.
Why?
When youhit the heart, the body shuts itself down. This means that the blood flow is slowed down causing a really poor blood trail.
When you hit a deer in the lungs, it causes the heart to pump harder, creating a good blood trail.
Either way, the deer will die, but I'll take a lung shot over a heart shot for these reasons.

I have had 2 heart shots, both on wall hangers. Neither one of them knew what him. They both took maybe 20 steps or so stood there and fell over dead. You can't go wrong with double lung though but in my expierence they bolt when hit but never make it to far.

double lung for me bigger target, good blood trail, and they go down quick. I've had double lung shots where they run 20 yards stop because they didn't know what happened and then just drop. i can see them on the ground from my stand

I, too, agree that either put steak on the bbq but if I had a choice it would be a heart shot. I have had high lung shots that just didn't give a good blood trail. Yet all the heart shots I have had gave a 10 ft wide blood trail, not that ya needed it because they went down so fast. The whole concept behind a clean quick kill is stopping the heart, when the heart stops the animals dead, what faster way than putting an arrow through it!!
edit: I see some people are choosing double lung and giving a higher margin of error. I don't think the poll is about where ya aim but what shot you'd prefer. Like you laser beamed the arrow to the exact spot ya want. Although I sometimes do try for heart shots I generally aim center of mass, which is a double lunger. Yet I'd rather skewer the ticker.

I like both equally. Currently, I have only shot for the lungs, because I have only been hunting one season. It worked for me, got a small 8pt buck and a doe. These were my first harvests ever. They did not make it very far from were I shot them.
