RE: Good Hanging Treestand

I have 3 of the older API 100 stands and another 5 of the newer magnum stands. They are about 79 bucks and don't weigh all that much. The seats are OK for my size and the locking strap is why I like it. There is a T screw to assist placing the stand and a cam lock ratchet to tighten the stand. I pass a 6' cable around the tree and fit my lock through the ends of the cable and pass it through the hole in the cam lock where the pin goes. Real secure, safe and cheap.

You need to check out Lone Wolf. Twice the price as many of the other stands out there, but as it was said before, once you try one, you won't be sorry.

One point I like to make in-regard to treestand costs. It often cracks me up that a guy will spend $800.00+ on a bow, $100.00+ on a sight, up to $100.00 for a quiver, $60.00 for a release, $100+ for arrows; and when it comes to buying a stand that is litterally the only thing between you and the ground, alot of guys want the cheapest available thing. Blows my mind, but I was once that guy too!

Hunt like a WOLF!
