Default Messed up on a Big 8

On my way to my stand i kicked up a small buck and a couple of does get to my stand at 5:30 last night not in there 5 minutes and i cought some movement in a thicket 60 yards away. then i could see it was a nice buck istead of coming in my direction he started walking away i reached for my grunt call darn i left it in my truck! so i said well i got nothing to lose and gave a few loud voice grunts 5 minutes later i cought movement again where i had last see him and he was now headed in my direction. He was then closing the gap to 40 yards then i lost him in the thick stuff. Then all of a sudden he was right there 12 yards and walking fast i drew my bow and my dang arrow fell off the arrow rest by the time i got it back on he was gone throught the only shooting lane i had with in range<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> I then i had to watch this 130 class buck feed out in the field in till dark some 60 yards out. When it was time to leave i thought he was gone well i was wrong i got down to the base of my tree and he storted and ran off. I wonder if he will be back? Should i let that stand rest or hunt it again?

Time to get a Whisker Biscuit!

Last year I had the same kind of problem. But I got lucky. I held my arrow down on my rest with my index finger. That's when I decided I needed something different.

Hopefully you'll get him next time!

A whisker biscuit is a type of rest that keeps your arrow from falling off while drawing.
