A young man shot a really nice eight point this weekend during the TX youth hunt. His dad said the buck was about six inches from a does rear end, following her ever step she took. Anyone else see the rut in swing?

Yeah, I talked to a friend earlier today who said he had been huntin and saw a good bit of deer, and they were showing early signs of the rut.

well i dunno what part of texas he was in, but TR Micheals told me the peak rut for north texas is nov. 16-17, so i would figure they'd be startin about now.
