Anybody heard of or tried the Air-rest?

A buddy of mine pointed out this rest that is pretty new on the market. It seems like a good idea, so I wanted to know any of you on here have heard of this rest or have tried it. What's your take on this idea?

Well according to the site you need an insert from them for it to work. The rest, cha ching, the inserts, cha ching. The insert is not a normal one of about 10-15 grns., it's 50. Which means for a guy who shoots 100grn heads he'll need some 50 grn ones. Mighty flimsy head at 50. I'll let someone else fill a drawer first with one before I do.

Great idea though. Just needs something. IMO

Something wrong edit. A head of 35grns lighter is needed not 50.

Yeah, I've heard of it. First, you gotta buy 6 inserts for $20, and oh yeah, they weigh in at 30 gr. each. OUCH! Your arrows have to be cut EXACTLY the right length or it won't catch the insert. For the money they want for that thing.......NO WAY!

Ive seen it. It runs on a magnet field. You have to buy the special inserts, it kinda like you put two magnets together ,how they push apart.I think its alot simpler to get a good fall away or a whisker bisquit. I know it would be a lot cheaper.

it looks like it could work real well, but for the added weight, and cost idk

Read something strange on their setup instructions...

It says that you need to load the arrow nock first back through the rest because if your tip is attracted to the rest magnets it can cause damage!!?? [&:]

That would be too weird for me. Maybe they need to make a cutout sortof like the WB QS.

i would not buy it... it has a very minimum range of adjustment 1/8th i believeand think about this.... if you have to let down.. the arrow is gonna just drop after it leaves the magnetic field.. i'll pass for that kinda money..

I've seen it. I just don't trust something that functions on magnetism to be consitant over time. Things get magnitized, demagnitized. I just don't want it. I'll stick with the Muzzy. I'm sure it works fine when everything is grand and new. My muzzy works 5 years later.
