RE: Anybody heard of or tried the Air-rest?
i have seen them, i dont think i would use one though, one of the magnets in the think could wear out leaving you with a crooked rest and nothing you can do about it.

You all are pretty much on the same page as me with your thoughts about this. I already have a good drop away and was just curious if anybody had any raving reviews or anything like that.

RE: Anybody heard of or tried the Air-rest?
I've looked at these things and talked to the inventor / founder. IMO its good idea that needs refining to be a feasible hunting solution. First of all, it's too expensive - $150 is alot of money. Second, you have to use their inserts which are also expensive. The guy told me that they were working with a broadhead manufacturer to develop a magnetic broadhead that you could just screw in to a regular insert but then you'd have to use their broadhead [&:]. If it was a slick trick or muzzy that'd be okay but I doubt it will be.
If it were 40or 50 bucks AND you didn't have to buy their special inserts AND I could shoot my own broadheads I'd definitely buy one. Until then I won't. I DO like the idea of no moving parts and no arrow contact with the rest though.... |

I think its a good idea that they will improve with time, I remember the amount of seculation the WB got when it first showed up...
