I am looking at getting some new arrows(mainlytarget)the Easton FMJ(but i knowthat theywere mainly made to use forhunting but waswonderig if it would make a good target arrow)and I was wondering what you guys thought of them. I talked to the proshop guy and he said that they are better than the A/c/c's I am wondering if any of you have shot them or own them? I dont want posts that say I saw them they dont look good(if you have heard good or bad things then dont be afraid of saying it I am just tired of people posting just so that they can get more posts on thier record). I only want informitive posts that give me an idea of what they are really like. Also any recomendations that you have of other good arrowsor onesyou think I should look atlet me know. Thanks.

Well, I have heard many good things about the Easton A/C/C 's except that they bend a little bit easier than an all carbon arrow. Now on to the reccomendations. I had Gold Tips that came with my bow orginally and i really really liked them alot, but unfortunately i got down to two and they are two rich for a 14 year olds budget and i had to go get some Super Carbon arrows and i really like these two. They are excellent flyers and i have shot 3 fletchings off with them last time i shot. I have also heard alot of good things about the Carbon Express Maxima because they are so durable and i have also heard they are great target arrows for competition shooters.
That is my opinion about arrows and i hope you find some you like.
Good Luck and straight shooting,
Brent

My vote goes to Gold Tip. I don't see the FMJ being better than the a/c/c/ though. Steel on the outside seems like it would bend a heck of a lot easier than it being on the inside.

carbon express maximas are great arrows, straight and durable. most of there other arrows are good too and so are the gold tip arrows. the one thing about the FMJs is that there are pretty heavy i think, like 11.5 gpi. not positive but i thought thats what they were.

I would argue the FMJ being better than an A/C/C. In fact, I don't think the FMJ is as good as the Axis. We did some testing, and the FMJ's penetration wasn't as good nor was the durability. From what I've seen of them thus far, I'll be sticking with my A/C/C.

Even from what the company says about them, the only real advantage to them over the regular Axis arrows is that they would be easier to pull from 3d targets.
If you're thinking of trying FMJ's, I'd recomend you try the Axis ST along side. I'm betting you'd prefer the STs and that they'd shoot as good if not better.

No way FMJ's are better than ACC's! FMJ's were developed so as to pull arrows easier in 3D targets. Now if your club or yourself uses Reinhart targets thats not really a problem anyway.......they pull much easier than McKensie targets.
IMO there are no better arrows than ACC's or the A/C Super Slims. After shooting the A/C Super Slims..........I won't be going back to all carbon arrows.
