Default HNI hunting tour!!

Just thinking after Greg/MO post. If we could start a hunting tour where would it have to stop and what animals would we have to include (WHITETAILS, MULLIES, TURKEY, ELK, BEAR, MOOSE....).If I could only find that money tree the tour would have to start so very soon.

I'm really planning on taking a tour of my own. I have places to go and will work in some side trips. I think it's only going to concentrate on big game though. No turkeys etc. I have a nephew in law in Montana that wants me to come shoot an elk. There's always over the counter Colorado. I have whitetails lined up in Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, Texas, Axis in Texas, Kentucky, plus a whole gaggle of hunting outlets with some of my troops from Vietnam. I have miles to go and arrows to shoot. I'm late for filing for permits for this year,so this might have to be two year tour. Heck, I just may make it a "REst of my life tour". I will send pictures and post cards.[8D]

Believe it or not, I am looking at the state of Ohio for bowhunting... I have heard so many good things about Ohio (especially southeast Ohio) that I want to see for myself. My nextdoor neighbor is from Chillicothe (sp?) and no longer hunts, but he has told me many stories of the big deer he has harvested, and the rabbits he used to hunt with beagles many years ago.

I originally looked into NY State (my sister/brother-in-law's farm) in upstate NY, but realize that "The Hildebeast" and Chuck Schumer have all but ruined the fine state of NY. [:'(] The hunting laws and expenses for a non-resident license out outrageous. Besides the deer herd where they are has greatly diminished over the years.

While in Texas, get you a hog as well. Most people will be glad to get one off of their land.

I'm going to put out a "Invite me to your house" request before I start out.[8D] Burnie, I'll swap you a pig hunt for an invite to the Axis joint near San Antonio.Len and I are going to do it sometime this year. We'll let you know.

Well, I am with Butch. I think my first stop would be to Ohio. My wife has family in Ohio and they bug me quite a bit to hunt with them.

Then, I am headed west. Wyoming for antelope, South Dakota for pheasants, and finally to Montana, stay with my brother and hunt deer on the Milk River.

Holy moly! Can't believe I forgot this. This is my BIGGEST dream hunt....I want to head west somewhere and bow hunt elk.
