I take both a digital camera and a video to catch priceless memories and to video hunts. I have about a dozen deer and a dozen turkeys taken on video plus some bruisers that didn't come into bow range.

I've videoed for years. I have some good deer and bear footage. Including a buck fight, although from some distance. I enjoy watching the footage and body movements of the animals. I also might call at them to capture their reaction. Although, there has been a couple of times where I had my video camera in my hand when I should have grabbed my bow. Thats the chance you take.

I take one. I usually start taping if I hear or see one coming in and put it away if I think it's a shooter. This was the first season I taped my hunts and really enjoyed being able to show my buddies what I saw instead of just telling them about it. Everyone back at the lodge look forward to watching the tape when I get back.

They are part of my hunting gear. Put them on a tripod fastened in my stand when alone. I just point them where I plan on shooting & turn it on when I see something.

I have always wanted to. The equipment I look at is either too heavy to carry all the time or too expensive to take out into the woods. (I have dropped too many things from my treestand in the past)

Here's a clip of an 8pt I filmed last year. May take a couple minutes to load.
