I am probably not the person to ask because I am from the old school when I buy something that works for me with no problems I will stick with it.The only reason I am answering your post is because I have owned a hoyt bow for years now and only replaced the string on it.I am sure the matthews is a good bow also.I would suggest you go to an archery shop and try to shoot both before buying.I like a smooth shooting bow over speed it depends what you like so try both.

Without starting a war, I have a personal prefernce for Hoyt bows over Mathews. You shoud choose the one that feels the best to you though.

Hoyt or Mathews? LOL....not again. Both companys make some of the best top of the line bows. I dont think either company is better than the other. Ive shot both and still cant decide which to stick with. My next bow is going to be the Hoyt cybertec.

Ya know, there are other good bows on the market besides Hoyt and Matthews. I just couldn't help myself.
