hunted this morning. broke for lunch and gonna go back out in a few. But where the heck are the rubs? I killed a doe two weeks ago, and I have seen some other does in the area, but I have not seen a single buck and havn't seen any rubs. I have seen what appear to be scrapes, but no rubs. Anyone else have this problem?

That's been going on where I hunt also. None of the rubs appear to be fresh, but the bucks are starting to scrape. I even saw two scrapes under the same tree.
God bless,

I noticed rubs started earlier, but until the past 10 days pretty calm in the R&S department. We experienced a huge cold front and they seem to be everywhere now. I even saw 2 good bucks get into a bit more than a friendly sparring match on the weekend...so she is a comin'.
If your finding scrapes, the rubs are around, you may not be looking in the right place? Most of the rubs I have found are quite deep in the bush or transition areas, the outside, food source type rubs aren't apparent yet here either, but they tend to show up much closer to actual rut(which is about a month away still).
