This is great! For the ridiculously low price of $1.99 a month I now have the Outdoor Channel!! This has to be the best $1.99 I've ever spent. I can't believe what I've been missing, wasting my time on all that lousy programming on regular tv and satellite. Now I can watch hunting shows all the time!

So far after only one episode I love Ted Nugent's Spirit of The Wild show. I mean Ted is kinda out there but he's a terrific sportsman and it's the first time I have ever seen somebody field dress an animal on tv or video. I mean I don't exactly relish the task but man is it refreshing to see them show the whole experience and the hunter actually get his hands bloody. I can't wait till the next episode!!

I agree Nick, too bad Directv won't let me drop the total choice package and just get the $1.99 channel. Much cheaper monthly bill!

I don't get very many hunting shows on my outdoor channel on Direct TV. For some reason it's usually bike riding or something like that.

Sooner says he would have told you if you didn't. Had it the day directv started carrying it. Love it. I have mentioned it several times on here but not directly by subject. Glad you like it. Beats the heck out of the OLN. Tho TNN on Sat and Sun a.m. have a couple of good shows.

TNN does have some good shows on but I'm too busy hunting on the weekend to watch them and just never them.

The outdoor Life Network sucks! How many times do they have to air bicycle racing from France? I feel like the Griswolds in European Vacation when all they can get on tv is the cheese making channel. Ugghh!! HighCountry you need to try the Outdoor Channel (606 on Directv).

Urlacher54 I responded to your e-mail but for anybody else who may be interested... I had called Directv about the Outdoor Channel before and they only sold it bundled with a pricey sports package. A friend who has Dishnetwork was talking to me about it over the weekend and it spurred me to call them again and see if there was any way to beg or plead for them to just let me get the Outdoor Channel. Fortunately it didn't come to that and I was able to spare my dignity. For only $1.99 a month they will now let you get it "ala carte".

A little disappointed that they seem to be showing mostly auto racing shows during primetime tonight but still very happy with it. I got my $1.99 worth the first night!

yeah, I really enjoy the prospecting for gold that makes up 50% of the programming schedule. Geeeeez, you'd think they could have an all hunting channel, after all it is a huge industry.
