Default elk question

I've seen doe's with antlers and my question for all you elk guru's is, are there any cases of cow elk with antlers? I know it isn't that important of a question, I was just wondering. Thanks, Chris

Hm......good question. I've never heard of it, but then again......not too many wild elk wandering around the good state of Missouri.

My grandpa shot a nice 6 point bull in the brushy west side of Oregon. When he got to the downed elk it had a nice rack, but just on one side. After rolling it to gut he realized it was really a cow. He instantly called the game warden and told him what he done. The game warden showed up to check out the story. They let grandpa keep the animal.
