am i hurting my deer population
#11
There is a narrow strip of woods right behind my house and a small stream, while the house was being built they continued to pass thru all the time, they only come through the immediate area now at night, but that is due to my dogs.

I live on 100 acres, semi wooded area and have found that the only difficult part is seeing those bucks on days I can't hunt and hoping they'll stick around til the weekend.
I don't do much with the wooded area, sort of protect it for the deer and as land is cleared for crops or horses, I have an abundance of deer using my little property as a bedding area. I think I am the luckiest person on earth to have treestand forty yards from my back porch and still take P & Y bucks from it. The construction may hurt in the short run, but they'll be back. Enjoy and build lots of windows overlooking the deer paths.
