I was out hunting today and heard some crashing going on over yonder so I went to check it out. I saw a deer running with its tail in the air and figured maybe someone shot it. Right after that I saw it run back the same way it ran from. It kind of looked like there were two deer, but I'm not entirely sure. It just seemed odd to me that it'd run with it's tail in the air, then run back the same direction it came from. I kind of wondered if it was a buck chasing a doe. It would make sense because scrapes are starting to appear, and there's a couple in the area I saw the deer. Any thoughts?
God bless,

How about this one.
Saturday I cut a trail to an old oak that overlooks an alfalfa field. It took a while & I worked up a good sweat. i was not too worried about scent because I'm not planning on hunting the site for at least a week. I show up Sunday to hang the stand & what do I see...deer tracks in my freshly cut trail.
My scent had to have been ALL OVER. I mean I'm touching branches & leaves with my bare hands, gas smell from the trimmer & dripping sweat god knows where. Less than 24 hours later the deer had been in to investigate.
Who knows?

A few years ago I was putting up a stand and had a bunch of does come running up to see what all the racket was. A true friend of mine told me if I really whated to see a buch of deer I should take his John Deere out to the field and start it up. He claims the deer run out in front of him while he's in the field and most of the time has to stop to keep from running into them.

I had the same thing as Justin last year. We were cutting shooting lanes in the heat and sweating and stinking up the joint. We walk back to the truck and look back and two basket racks have followed our scent trail to the edge of the woods and stood there looking at us for 5 mins. The calmly walked off as we continued talking. They got their own rules.

I have always been convinced that a deer can read your mind, they know when you are hunting and when you aren't.
