Default UPDATE... new bow, buddys S-Back, and newbie

Hey guys,

I figured that I would give ya'll a headsup on whatsbeen happening with me and my buddies.

Well, as some of you may remember my sisters boy-friend was registering shots substantially slower than they should have been with his Switchback. We went entirely over the bow, checked the A.T.A. length, brace height, cam timing, and even made sure the tillers were correct and everything checked out. We put the bow on another scale and it maxed out at 68#'s. He is shooting a 390 grain arrow and when we put it through another chrono we got speeds right at 280 f.p.s. Still a little slower than what it "should be" but definetly in a very reasonable speed loss bracket. We have given on up trying to find the extra 10 f.p.s. or so that it should be shooting as he is drilling out the bullseyes with that thing.

My Old Glory is comming along. I was going to go with a Spott Hogg Hogg-It sight for it but I was give a VERY good deal on a Cobra 5 pin Sidewinder LX mystic. I couldn't pass it up and I figure that I can always get a Hogg-It later on, but the pins are very bright on this sight. I just ordered a dozen Gold Tip Pro-Hunters for it and they should be in in a few days, I am anxiously awaiting them to come so I can really get this thing tweaked. Right now it is paper tuned and everythng seems to pretty pretty much set. I am using Lumenocks in my Gold Tip XT's and when shooting out to 60 yards I don't see any noticeable movement at all in the arrow.

Finally, my buddie's little brother that I sold my Allegiance to.... to say that this bow has given him a new level of confidence is an understatement. Last week we went to the shop and got the bow set-up for him and not more than 15 shots in he robin-hooded an arrow at 20 yards. He is getting golf-ball sized groups at twenty yards which is very impressive considering this is his first year shooting a bow. Everything is going great for him and he is still on cloud 9. Tommorrow he is shooting with us in our screen shoots and I am anxiously awaiting to see how he does.

Well, thats it for know, I'll keep ya'll updated

Hey teammate. I had a buddy with his switchback having somewhat the same problem. We never did figure it out, but it seems he's doin alright with it now. Anyway can't wait to hear how stuff goes.
