RE: Looking for a bow to hunt Moose
I'm a Mathews Owner and am Very Well satisfied.
Choose any bow that you can handle well, carry all day, shoot well and accurately.
Mine is the Mathews FX set at 67# @28" draw and I'd tackle a moose anytime with arrogant confidence. Griz . . . I might have to think a bit [375 H&H in back of me would greatly shrink my thought process.

RE: Looking for a bow to hunt Moose
Any bow that you feel comfortable shooting with will do...BUT!
Make sure you have enough draw weight, arrow speed and most importantly Kinetic energy (this is a formula derived from arrow speed and arrow weight) To punch through such a large animal. I would recommend something with at least 60 lbs per square inch of K.E. However opt for accuracy FIRST!
I read somewhere... "Hit them with 75p.s.i in the leg and they run away and will heal. Hit them with 25p.s.i in the eye and they drop on the spot." Try to find a happy medium.
