I didn't know there was any other way to hunt them. Pop up ground blind is the best way to bow hunt them. You can set one up in the middle of a wide open field and they won't even give it a second glance. People give turkeys waaayyyyy to much credit for being smart.

without a doubt i'll be out there...this year i'm bringing my gun as well...that way if a super nice one comes out of bow range i'll be able to whack him with my shotgun....i've never got one with a bow but i've been tryin' and tryin' so hopefully this year will be my year....if i do get one everyone will here me jumpin' up and down for joy....it'll be like gettin' a MONSTER buck...if not better.

question: what type of broadheads are y'all going to use? i usually use muzzys but my bow guy talked me into gettin' some grim reapers....what are y'all's thoughts?

Yes I will... Thats the only way I hunt.. I did open my gunsafe in the last three years, butonly because I moved into a new house and it made the gun safe lighter...

We can take 2 birds here in Ontario so I plan on taking the first with my 11-87 and then bowhunting them after that for a second bird.

not I. Them darn things are hard enough to hunt with a gun. I think eventually I will try with the bow and blind (after I bag a few more). But for now I'm sticking with my shotgun.
