Default How to brighten up fiber optic pins?

I have a trophy ridge sight on my Mathews Q2 and the pins aren't as bright as they use to be. Is there away to brighten them up or do I just need to buy a new sight?

Perhaps the plastic protective case surrounding the fiber optics has become cloudy? Clean it and maybe that will help??

man, i've not seen this problem. I shoot a TR matrix and have since 2004 and it is still bright. You can get new pins from www.trophyridge.com they are more than willing to help make your equipment work properly. I would give them a call or send an email, they usually respond very quickly. Good luck.

Replace the fiber optics. As they age they start to create tiny scratches and cracks. Every blemish helps to disapate the light energy from reaching the end of the fiber. Scrtches allow light to escape the fiber.

Replace the fiber optics.
I agree. I've got an Archer's Choice among all my sights I own now, and a couple years ago, I replaced the fiber optics in it... Man! Whatta difference!

I'd almost recommend changing every other year or so now...
