All but one of these was found on my lease. They were on a hillside at a wide place in a trail overlooking a pasture. I think they were made by Caddo Indians but I'm not sure. I'll do some research. I think its pretty cool that people bowhunted there so long before I did. I wonder just how old they are.

tx, that's absolutely awesome! What a neat piece of ground you've obviously got to include some history like that!!

WOW that's pretty cool. If those were indeed left by Native Americans it means that you were the first human being to touch those spear heads for perhaps a hundred years or more. And for that amount of time, no one else has been standing in that exact same spot where you found them. Some may say ok so what, I say you're holding a piece of history in your hands.

Actually, that spot is on a well travelled cattle trail that is used regularly by the rancher that owns the place. He drives up and down that trail! My brother in law has been hunting on that place and walking up and down that hill for 20 years and never knew they were there! Heck, I didn't know they were there either until one day while driving my wife around on the 4-wheeler she said,"Stop this is a good place for arrowheads." I told her she was crazy. She found the first one in about a minute, handed it to me and jokingly I threw it down and said thats not an arrowhead. It landed right beside another. She gets mad now when Tom or I find them in "her spot".

I'm not sure. She has been looking all her life. She is a country girl that just knows after years of finding them. I guess it comes with experience.

That's cool! I've only ever found 1 nice speer head and a broken half of an arrow head.
My neighbors back home have a huge collection of indian artifacts. Where you find a few, keep looking, there's more there!

My grandma used to walk our farm fields all of the time, after we would dofall or spring tillage and look for both spearhead and arrowheads. She has quite a collection, I need to ask her to sit down with me sometime and look at them again.
I remember they were pretty neat to look atthe first time I saw them when I was a bit younger.
Appears that you have both spearheads and arrowheads.
Congrats!
