Bow or Gun or both
#3
Been hunting with a gun for many years, only started bowhunting 3 years ago & it sure seems more rewarding if for no other reason than the longer season here. We get 4&1/2 months for bow. I took around a dozen deer with my guns in many years & I'v taken 19 with my bow in three so theres another perk from bowhunting. I still hunt with a rifle & supose if I could hunt local with one things might be different but bowhunting I have 4 spots within 15 minutes of my house. I also find I learn more about deer behaviour bowhunting because of the added time in the field & the much more limited range. I'll hunt them with whatever tool I can but by & large I like bowhunting better.

well I would prefer to take a deer with the bow. However they do not seem to cooperate sometimes during the early bow season. And since I don't hunt for antlers alone, but meat in the freezer, if it happens during muzzle loader season or rifel, well then I take em!

I do both. I have a bow (a few actually), an inline muzzle loader and a 12 ga rifled slug gun. My ultimate goal is to take one deer a season and I will use any means at my disposal to do it, legally of course.
I'm the odd one out here because I actually like shutgon or muzzle loader hunting a bit more than bow hunting. It's hard to find good bow hunting land in my area and it's really nice during bow season still. I am into archery because I love archery, the bowhunting was a secondary thing for me. Like I have said before, I like to shoot not sit in a tree staring at my bow hanging there on the off chance I might get to use it. I didn't buy my bow to hunt with, that is just a bonus
