Default question on my bow?

i was out hunting the other day and realized on the bottom limb theres a rod that goes between the cam and the limbs.. i dont know the name of it because i am not an expert on bows but anyways i noticed it is sticking out quite far on the left side...i noticed on the top which is correct there are safety clips on each end of the rod.. so my guess is the safety clipsbroke off the bottom but how did the rod start coming out... i also noticed it is threaded... can i somehow put it back in my self or should i take it to the shop

If you don't know what your doing, take it to a shop real soon. The last thing you want is 1)faulty equiptment screwing you out of a trophy, or 2) a limb shattering, string breaking, or a cam coming off and something series happening. JMO

Sounds like you are describing the cam axle. Does this pin go through the center of the cam? If so, do not draw or shoot your bow. Take it to a pro shop asap and have it corrected. If one of the "C" clips came off the axle can back out and that's not good.

Exactly....

You'll probably need to take the tension off the axle to slid it back in and reinstall the C clips..you'll need a press and I'm sure any local shop can do it in 5 minutes....clips are cheap...be safe.

You can probably do it yourself if you have a bow press. Just take the tension off the limbs and press the axle back in the cam, then go to the local hardware store and buy a "C" clip the same size, ($.10 or so), and with a pair of pliers push the "C" clip in the notched out spot in the axle. When all is finished release tension off the bow, let cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
