Have you ever wondered....(pics)
What an Iowa taxidermist shop looked like just after the season closed? Check out this one located in Zone 9 from this year, David Larson of ShinBone Valley sent me these pics from his neighbors/friends shop. Most of these deer came from the same 20 square mile area. Are the genetics in your area like this? Many of these were bow deer so I posted here.. I hope you enjoy.

Sure are a few dandies in that bunch! I would say that in a 20 square mile area, about that many nice ones come out of the area. You can tell they're all genetically similar. Very little non-typical, with large frames. Thanks for the pics!

Those are some nice bucks.
Around here you'd never know if those genetics were present as nearly all our deer are shot well before they reach any type of prime age.
