Do you name your stands?

Some of mine are: the white oak stand, the 7 point stand, the poison oak stand(got it all over me when putting this stand up), and old faithful(self-explanatory). Some I just call tripod 1 or tripod 2. What are some of yours?

RE: Do you name your stands?

Sometimes we actually name the stand - and the name stays with it wherever it goes (ladder stands)

"Blackeye Stand"
"penthouse"
"Terry's Stand"

Sometimes we name the spot -

"Apple Stand"
"the point"
"the 20 footer"
"the sanctuary Stand"

Permanant stands - have the best - longest lastingnames - I think it because when you are building it - you have time to think up a good name.

"the Double Decker"
The Crow's Nest
"The Red Blanket Stand"
"Jessie's Pine"
"Rye Field Stand"
"Bulldozer Engine Stand"
"button Buck Stand"

Still - We have several stands that just cannot get a name the "sticks" - Its always hard to explain which stand you mean when picking one of these - eventually - something "nameworthy" happens - and the stand becomes named.
