Don't name mine...I only use hang-ons, and I'm always moving them according to deer movement.

Some of ours at the camp are : Ruger pond, Hell hole, shame swamp, the gash, Boomers, Oak knoll, Bald buck. You need to both be able to make sense among yourselves and confuse outsiders

Sometimes we actually name the stand - and the name stays with it wherever it goes (ladder stands)

"Blackeye Stand"
"penthouse"
"Terry's Stand"

Sometimes we name the spot -

"Apple Stand"
"the point"
"the 20 footer"
"the sanctuary Stand"

Permanant stands - have the best - longest lastingnames - I think it because when you are building it - you have time to think up a good name.

"the Double Decker"
The Crow's Nest
"The Red Blanket Stand"
"Jessie's Pine"
"Rye Field Stand"
"Bulldozer Engine Stand"
"button Buck Stand"

Still - We have several stands that just cannot get a name the "sticks" - Its always hard to explain which stand you mean when picking one of these - eventually - something "nameworthy" happens - and the stand becomes named.

All my stands are named but my favorite is called OLD FAITHFUL. Not to many hunts out of it when I couldn't have taken a deer.
