Default New Wildview Digital 2.0 Trail Camera

I bought this trail camera from Cabelas for $99 ($75 with a $25 off mailer coupon). I am impressed - so far. I set it out a few nights ago and dumped a ice cream bucket of corn/deer feed in front and got these photos. They are 1.3, or the low res setting. I haven't tried the high res setting at 2 megapixels yet. It can also be set up to take short video clips. Will be interested to see what those turn out like.

All in all, a decent camera for the price so far. Will see how it holds up and what it's like on the batteries. It takes 4 C-cells and after a few nights the red battery light was on but the camera is angled down from the tree and the batteries almost fell out when I opened it. I resecured them and will check again soon to see if that was the problem. Otherwise might be buying the rechargable 12 volt you can hook up. Another $30 but would save money in the longrun.

Thanks. The integrated memory only holds 12 low res or 8 high res photos. : P So it took 12 pictures of these 3 does/fawns withing an hour. I need to get to the store today to my a memory card. The camera manual says a 128mb card will offer 208 high res and 320 low res. Should be enough as I can get to it at least once per week.

Cool pics. I was just looking at that camera in the Cabelas catalog.
I wondered if it was any good.

Hi Guys,
I have this cam too. Just bought it this passed season. My 4 C batterys last about 1 wk, but during that week I got 225 pic's!
I would say about 25 of them were because the wind was blowing hard.
8 pic's of raccoons, a couple of dog pic's, and lot's and lot's of bucks & does.
Phil

It seems when I reduce thse pic's they sure don't look as good. If you could see the buck he has lost one side already. This pic's was taken last Saturday, 1/07/06. This is north of Seattle about 1 hour (westside) Arlington area.
