Here's some from one of my sets last month...

Approaching the stand...

Getting closer...

Looking out from my front door

Over my left shoulder, where it's a mere 100 yards across a little creek and to the game preserve that is off limits to hunting!

Hey MQ1-

Where do you hunt? Is that in CG County?

I actually went to SEMO so I am very familiar with Cape. I live about 85 miles north of Cape right now.

Keep em coming guys! My wife got us a digital cam for christmas so I appreciate all the tips.

Hey buckeye , do you use the flash for outdoor pics during light hours?
Do you set your cam to the "action" setting in case the deer are moving?

I'll try and get out to my woods this weekend to take some pics.

2. Don't zoom in on the animal to much as the smallest movement makes the pic real shakey and basicaly unviewable.

3. I really didn't "have to have" this high tech of a dig cam for taking photos of deer. I overused the zoom most of the time and most pics I took sucked. I would venture to guess that 75% of my pics I deleted from them coming out so bad.
First turn off your digital zoom, its worthless.

Second I bought I Panasonic DMC-FZ5...12X Optical zoom with the Image Stabilizer so I CAN zoom in all the way WITHOUT a picture betting blurred! It was a bit pricey around $450ish. Well worth the money! Good luck!

Great pictures guys!
