I would like to buy a 3D Leafy suit, and need help in picking something out. I would like it to be lite enough so that I can wear it when it is warm out, but then I would like it to be something that I can wear over my heavier stuff too.Let me know what you guys think is the best stuff to buy, and where can I find it?

Last season I bought the Sport Chief 3D Leafy outfit and it's one of the best investment's I've ever made .It's great for spring and early fall and come's with inside liner's for when the cold weather arrive's ,it was a little pricey but well worth it I think it cost me 500.00 Cdn .Buyt also ASAT has a 3D outfit that is good for the spring and early fall that will fit overtop of your existing camo and if you check their website www.asatcamo.com it comes with jacket, pant's and head cover ,I'm not sure exactly of the cost but it's well under 200.00 U.S..This might be a little more what your looking for .

I've been thinking of getting one of these but I was wondering. I only hunt from stands, does it look weird for a bush to be 16' up in a tree or are these things only for when you stalk hunt or hunt from the ground?

Canoeboy, what a 3-D Leafy suit does is it will break up your outline better than regular camo can, whether you are in a treestand or stalk hunting. Many people argue that regular camo works fine, but those in favor of 3-D Leafy suits seem to find that they tend to break up your outline which is also a critical part of hunting whitetail.
Personally, I do not own a set of 3-D camo, but it is something I am looking into getting. Especially now that I getting into archery hunting.

i like the 3d leafy bug suit i got from Cabelas. very light, breathable for scouting in the hot summer and very packable. i also use pins to hold real veg on the suit like light vines w/ leaves and the such.

BigDaddy, I know there's tons and tons of votes of confidence that will be coming for the ASAT 3D leafy suit, and deservedly so...
But, just to throw another thought out there, check out the Sneaky Leaf leaves that can be pinned on in a flash. These are some pretty cool little gizmos that you can use to turn your ordinary hunting clothes into 3D without incurring the added expense of a whole new suit.
Here's a before and after with the product I'm referring to:
Before:

After:

I bought a bag of these things a couple years ago, and found them to be extremely soft after a few washings -- which made them extremely quiet. And they're really affordable. What I really liked about them was that I could apply them wherever I wanted... I left them off the inside of my bow arm, and other areas like that.
Hope that helps. If not you, then maybe someone.
